Shopping in Stockholm

Tomorrow I'm leaving Stockholm for the Spanish island of Mallorca, so I said good bye to Stockholm in the best way: Shopping pieces of it and taking them with me!! Today was a perfect day to be out. The weather was great - a bit chilly but very sunny. My shopping companions of the day were my parents.

The best pieces of clothing I found in a second hand shop in Östermalm (a posh part of Stockholm): A pair of Acne Jeans that barely had been used (pictured) and an Armani suit!!!

The suit was so cool because it was probably from the late 80s!! I'm talking shoulder pads - even though they were pretty small. It's like a blast from the past! Just check out the business suits Melanie Griffiths wore in the 80's classic "Working Girl" and you will get a rough idea of mine, although mine is a bit more toned down..... The jacket is a bit longer than "regular" jackets and is perfect with my new jeans!! The best part was the price! It was very good value for money! My parents gave me the suit as a present. Thanks Mom and Dad!!!

Today is a very special day....

...because it's my best friend Maria Friström's birthday!! She is like the maple syrup on my pancakes: Yummy!! Happy birthday!! Grattis på födelsedagen!

Whiskey

"The Water of Life" is the meaning of Whiskey in Scottish Gaelic. No wonder - it's really a life saver for my cough. I can't say I'm a big Whiskey driker normally, but I do sware by it, when it comes to curing coughs! Cheers!

Sick....

So typical! On my long awaited holidays, I manage to catch an annoying cold! I've been in all day long, but thankfully, my kind parents rented 2 really good movies. The first one is "Arn" - a Swedish movie by a famous Swedish author. I really liked it!

The second movie was "The Orphanage" - a really scary and Spooky Spanish movie. It's also very good! It's not very often you rent two movies and both aof them are good!

Finally home!!

I arrived late last night. It feels great to be back in Jordbro at my parents' place! My dad hung a star lamp in my window, like every year. Now it feels like Christmas!!

Madonna

Madonna is the coolest! I think she is just fab in this ad for Louis Vuitton... And it's weird to think she is just 7 years younger than my parents...

Nice Relaxing Sunday in London town...

Today was so nice and quiet. Me and D just went for a walk to Golder's Green and had lunch at a Japanese restaurant. The only unusual thing we saw today were some people stealing clothes from an expensive shop and rushing away in a car that was waiting outside.... Guess some people will go very far to get Christmas presents for their loved ones during these Credit crunch times....

Christmas food in Sweden....

I am very much looking forward to going home to Sweden to have a proper Swedish Christmas! So happy I will see my parents and my brother in just a few days! My dad sent me this photo earlier today, to give me a glimpse of what is to come.... Yum!
